Disclaimer: I find the invasion of Iran a horrible, terrible, and unfortunate act by the “President.” My heart goes out to all of those who have been and will be hurt and killed by this mess.
That said, I think it’s fitting that this classic song by A Flock of Seagulls works for this parody, as not only does “I Ran” and “Iran” match, but “(So Far Away)” is one of the only reasons the administration chose to do this horrible act – because “Iran is so far away and thus impossible for them to hurt us, and impossible for us to care.”
I don’t agree with either of those statements. It has and will continue to hurt us (and by “us” I mean everyone, but especially citizens of the United States of America).

Note: I never claim to be original. I realize I am following in the footsteps of other people who had ideas that were perhaps funny, likely lame, and otherwise “used.” When looking at the Wikipedia page for the album, there is an entire section about “Iran word play.” Someone can add a citation to the article on this next iteration of the word play.
