My daughter had an assignment for English to identify a word that was foreign to her that she would define and present to the class. She asked me how to pronounce “Ebullient” and I wasn’t entirely sure.
So, we looked it up and were surprised it was e-bull-yent. Immediately the phrase “Boo yay, baby!” came to me as a way to remember the pronunciation. And it was fun – well, at least to me. She kind of just rolled her eyes.
Later that day, I looked up the definition so that I understood the word a little better and then decided to write a little song to help remember the word and its meaning. I offered for her to use it in her class presentation, but she kindly declined.
